Remedial Massage Therapist

Jef gained his original Diploma in 1996. He has been in continuous full time practice since then. He was Massage Therapist for the Western Suburbs Magpies Rugby League team 1997-2000 and also has experience with many other sports.

He has participated in many post-graduate courses including;

  • Onsen Technique (with Rich Phaigh). Muscle energy technique.
  • Deep Muscle Therapy. Chris Lewin Seminars.
  • Several courses with James Walsh, an Australian massage therapist. Trigger points, core stability and myofascial work.
  • AOK Mediball Practitioner Level 1&2, which further helped my understanding of neuromuscular function and honed my movement and posture assessment skills. He spent 3 years conducting swiss ball core strength classes, and many more years utilising those skills in clinical sessions.

In 2006 Jef also began lecturing in the Diploma program at a massage college in Sydney.

Mika Watanabe

Remedial Massage Therapist

Mika completed her Diploma of Remedial Massage in Sydney, but also studied Shiatsu in Japan.

She has qualifications in Reiki, Dry Needling, and is trained to do facial treatments. She combines her massage skills in a unique way to help clients get the best outcomes and she knows how to apply firm pressure when it is needed.

Marina Rados

Acupuncturist and Remedial Massage Therapist

Marina has been working as an Acupuncturist and Massage Therapist for over 18 years. Having completed an Acupuncture degree at University of Technology Sydney, and a Diploma of Remedial Massage at NSW School of Massage, she furthered her studies in China before returning to Australia to begin practicing. She has worked at a prominent International Massage School for 14 years as an Acupuncturist, Massage Therapist, Teacher of Massage and also as School Counsellor.

As a result of having much experience with both students and people from all other walks of life, Marina has gained a special interest in the emotional/psychological and spiritual influences affecting a person’s ill-health thereby taking a wholistic approach to treatment.

May Lui

Remedial Massage Therapist

May is a certified yoga instructor who has completed her Diploma in Remedial Massage with the Australian College of Massage.

She combines her knowledge in therapeutics and Thai massage branching from her AcroYoga training which provides for a relaxing and calming approach to her massage routines. A keen student in bodywork, May is also pursuing education and experience in other forms of therapy such as myofascial release techniques and restorative yoga.

Den D

Remedial Massage Therapist

Den’s being a Remedial Massage Therapist (RMT) is a case of serendipity – a friend, seeing the heavy toll on Den from a personal crisis, suggested he receive a remedial massage. Den took up this suggestion and benefitted so much, he received regular massage thereafter. Two years after his first treatment, he began study leading to his Diploma of Remedial Massage (DRM) from the Australasian College of Natural Therapies (ACNT). Given his initial introduction to massage, Den has a particular interest in “the average person” and people who would not normally encounter massage.

Den performs Remedial, Swedish/Relaxation, Sports and Pregnancy Massage, utilising techniques such as Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Lymphatic Drainage, Stretching and Mobilisation, along with Active Therapy. He is also known for his sincerity, empathy and compassion, as demonstrated by his background as both a Teacher and Disability Support Worker. Having worked as a mobile therapist and massaged clients in 4- and 5-star hotels, as well as older people, PTSD and cancer survivors, Den is approachable, flexible, reliable, accepting and respectful.

Beyond massage, Den is a senior debating and public speaking adjudicator for high schools. He is also a proud polyglot, speaking English, Portuguese, Spanish and French and as a member of the Association of Massage Therapists (AMT), he is covered by all major health funds.
