New Face Mask Policy (18/9/2023)

I have seen Marina several times over a number of years. Each time she has listened carefully to my current issue, and has then chosen the best approach from her varied acupuncture repertoire. Sometimes only one treatment has been necessary, for example, an arthritic finger – no more pain and a good range of movement. On another occasion, more appointments were needed to help my body heal emotionally and physically after major surgery. At other times I like to come for a ‘balancing’ treatment to break a stressful cycle. I always leave feeling nurtured, calm and glowing – ready to cope with whatever may arise. Marina is an exceptional acupuncturist who has kept me on top of my fibromyalgia, fatigue and other health issues. She has the wonderful knack of knowing what is the best treatment on any given day which means I always leave feeling so much better for having seen her. I owe her much with helping me maintain my health and wellbeing.

I have been having regular deep tissue massages with Jef for nearly two years now and I can honestly say that it is the absolute best massage anywhere in Sydney. His treatments are always of the highest standard and his ability to intuitively read the body and it’s needs have made a huge improvement to my wellbeing. As someone who has received massages for over 15 years I was delighted when I stumbled onto Jef when he first started in Cammeray. Marina was recommended by my ENT specialist and while this was my primary reason for seeking treatment I have been seeing Marina on an ongoing basis since the initial referral. I have what I’d call a ‘busy life’ both through work, post graduate study and outside work activities, and managing stress has been key to addressing some of the chronic health issues I have faced. I have been to other practitioners however have not achieved the results that I have with Marina. Marina looks at the whole person, and with the physical and emotional so interconnected I’ve found this approach really works for me. Marina has worked through an ongoing management plan with regular review in order to address issues on a long term basis rather than as a band-aid fix. Treatment has been life changing for me and I highly recommend Marina as an acupuncturist.

I have had chronic back and hip pain for the past two years and visited various sports masseurs to no avail. On a recommendation from my husband, I made an appointment with May and I haven’t looked back! I now see May weekly or at most fortnightly, and have done so for a year, because if I leave it any longer I notice my pain returning. She has an uncanny ability to ‘feel’ where the pain emanates from and I come away feeling a million times better. Quite apart from her healing abilities she has a lovely quiet personality and I always leave with a sense of calm.

I have been seeing Jef now for over 2 years after trying many different therapist i have found someone who knows how to deal with my particular requirements. Being a large muscular person I required quite specific deep treatment which Jef has provided. When I have also required urgent treatment due to injury or pain , Jef has always managed to fit me in for a brief treatment. He has also been an excellent in providing generic advice about overall health issues. An excellent choice who I have recommended to many friends.

Dear Marina, I do want to thank you for your help. My knees have been so painful for many years specially when I walk up or down steps. My specialist told me that I needed a double knee replacement which certainly depressed me and quite frankly frightened me. When it was suggested that I try acupuncture, I was skeptical but thought I might as well try. In the beginning treatment was frequent. After a few weeks, my knees have certainly benefited. Not only my knees ached less but it helped with my depression specially when you followed up each visit with a request to advise you how I felt. My outlook on life improved and I feel so much better

When Jef first came to Cammeray, word quickly got around that he was good, and his business has grown considerably over the years. If, like me, you are a manual worker, on your feet up to nine hours a day, looking after others, and often neglecting yourself, sooner or later, problems will surface. Each time I visit Jef, he goes straight to the pain spots, and I always find when I wake up the next morning, my well being is restored. He’s great with sports injuries, and chronic back pain too. You’ll probably get a bit of a lecture, I usually do, mostly for not drinking enough water! All my staff, and a lot of our customers go to Jef, because he has years of experience, and knows his stuff.

Jef has made such a difference to my health and well being. I don’t know if I would be where I am today if not for his skills. Having referred a number of friends to his practice I now have a group of friends who are also indebted to this man for having altered their health, well being and performance levels. Personally, I have been able to set physical goals and achieve them. I believe most of this is due to Jef’s skills as my masseur but also because of his understanding of the body’s biomechanics he understands what is required to achieve the end result. If anyone is contemplating whether they should have some form of alternative treatment, above all others I would seek remedial massage and put my faith and trust in the hands of such a competent person of the calibre of Jef.
